Magic: The Gathering: Femme & Them Fellowship
Femme & Them Fellowship is Dragon’s Gate Gaming’s dedicated Magic: The Gathering night for women, trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming players.
This event was created as a welcoming table for players who have not always felt comfortable, represented or included in mainstream gaming spaces. It is community-focused, beginner-friendly and built around respect, comfort and connection.
At Dragon’s Gate Gaming, we run many open events throughout the week that everyone is welcome to attend. Femme & Them Fellowship exists as a dedicated space for players who may want a softer entry point, a more supportive table, or a community night where they do not feel like the odd one out before they even draw their opening hand.Whether you are brand new to Magic, returning after a long break, still learning the rules, or already have a deck full of chaos and shiny cardboard dreams, you are welcome here.
Who It’s For
Femme & Them Fellowship is designed for women, trans players, non-binary players, gender non-conforming players and those who feel this is the right space for them.
This event may especially suit players who want a friendly and respectful place to play, learn, ask questions, meet others and enjoy Magic without feeling like they have to prove they belong.
New Players Welcome
You do not need to be “good” at Magic to attend. You do not need to know every rule, own the perfect deck, understand the current meta, or speak fluent cardboard goblin.This is a space where questions are welcome, learning is expected, and nobody should be made to feel silly for needing help.
It is completely okay to say:
“I have never played before.”
“I know the basics, but I still get confused.”
“I need a slower game.”
“Can someone explain that again?”
“I just want to watch for a bit first.”
Table Culture
Femme & Them Fellowship is built around respectful, inclusive and supportive play. We want the event to feel welcoming, not intimidating.
Players are expected to treat others with respect, use people’s correct names and pronouns, be patient with new or learning players, avoid gatekeeping, mocking, rules-lawyering or talking over others, and help keep the space friendly and community-minded.
Competitive play can be fun, but this event is not about proving who is the smartest person in the room. It is about building confidence, connection and community around a game we enjoy.

Femme & Them Fellowship is a dedicated space for women, trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming players. Dragon’s Gate Gaming has many open events throughout the week where everyone is welcome, including men and general community players.
For this event, we ask that people respect the purpose of the space. If you are unsure whether this event is right for you, you are welcome to contact us before attending.
Support people, carers or parents are welcome where needed to support accessibility, safety or participation. We simply ask that support people respect the purpose of the event and help maintain a calm, inclusive and participant-led environment.
Accessibility
Dragon’s Gate Gaming aims to create a welcoming, inclusive and sensory-considerate environment. We understand that joining a new group can feel intimidating, especially for people who have had negative experiences in gaming spaces before.
You are welcome to arrive quietly and observe before joining in, ask staff for help finding a table, bring a support person if needed, take breaks when needed, and participate at your own pace.
We want this to feel like a place where people can settle in gently, meet others and build confidence over time.
