Prerelease is one of the best ways to experience a brand-new Magic set. You do not need to bring a deck, and you do not need to know every card before you arrive. Each player receives a Prerelease Pack, then builds a 40-card deck from the cards they open, with basic lands provided in store. It is a fun, casual, and exciting way to explore the new set before release weekend.
Whether you are here for the superheroes, the villains, the shiny cardboard, or the thrill of cracking fresh packs, this event is designed to be welcoming for new, returning, and experienced players. Staff and friendly community members will be available to help with deck building, rules questions, and getting settled at the table.
This is a Sealed format event, which means everyone starts with fresh cards from the same set. No pre-built deck required. Just bring yourself, your best heroic energy, and maybe a little villainous flair.
Your Prerelease Pack includes 6 Play Boosters, a foil year-stamped rare or mythic rare card, a deck box, and a spindown die. Prerelease events are usually run over several hours, including time to build your deck, play rounds, and take breaks between games.
